House parties and special occasions
Whatever your reason to get together, we've got it covered
Maybe you’re celebrating your fabulous 40th? A university reunion get together? Gathering friends and family for a Golden wedding anniversary? Organising a Christening party? Or do you need a weekend away with the girls?
Because our self-catering accommodation set up is flexible, we can create the perfect layout for you. Whether it’s family, friends or even work colleagues, we can configure our group cottages to fit your needs.
Simply let us know your preferred set up and we’ll do the rest. Choose from individual one, two, three or four bedroomed cottages to our super-spacious 11-bedroom cottage.
We have a choice of great caterers who can offer a range of catering to suit both corporate and private clients, with options including breakfast, lunches, hot and cold evening food plus sit down meals and informal choices such as BBQ’s, Pizzas and Paella.
Contact us for details of our caterers- so you can relax and let them do all the work! They will pride a bespoke quote for your requirements, with the option for delivery only or a fully staffed provision to allow you to relax and enjoy your stay.
When you place your booking you have the option to add a hot tub. Jean will order one to be installed and bubbling ready to enjoy during your stay. Just imagine relaxing in your own private hot tub with a nice chilled drink after a busy day biking round the National Forest or browsing Harvey Nics!
Massage and beauty treatments
For the ultimate luxury break we can organise spa and beauty treatments for your party while you stay with us.
You can book a spa treatment in the privacy of your own holiday cottage. Jill from Space Holistic Therapies will visit you during your stay to help you relax and unwind to prepare for your party or special event (or just because you deserve it).
We can also arrange for a beautician to visit Upper Rectory during your stay for that extra level of pampering.
Visit the salon without leaving the sofa and enjoy pretty pedicures, reviving facials and lots of other beautifying treatments with your friends and family. You’ll leave us fully revitalised both in mind and body.
Things to do together
There are some fantastic group activities and guest experiences to choose from during your stay at Upper Rectory Farm Cottages.
Flexible accommodation options
The Granary, The Barn and The Hayloft can be made into The Farm Collection, one large cottage that sleeps 22. Guests love relaxing in our cleverly inter-connected accommodation set around it’s own private courtyard. Each bedroom has en-suite facilities (there is plenty of hot water for everyone), so you have the privacy of your own room when you need it too. Plus the space gives you the luxury of a quiet lounge for the adults along with a lounge for the little ones if needed. If you’re bringing children, our loft bedrooms never fail to delight and give the grown-ups some time to relax before breakfast. There’s room for extra guests in the cottages arranged around the neighbouring courtyard too.
The other cottages are all single storey and have one, two, three or four bedrooms. Some are interconnecting to cater for larger groups. All our bedrooms are en-suite and there is unlimited parking adjacent to the cottages.
With plenty of crockery and cutlery, fridges and dishwashers for a large group, you’ll have everything you need for your country house party. The Refectory provides the central dining or party room; it has its own separate kitchen and space for parties of up to 24 to sit and dine together.
We provide everything you need to create your own meals. Or we can arrange delicious meals to be prepared for you, served formally in The Refectory or delivered ready to serve yourself.

Plus, because we allocate cottages based on your group, we don’t charge extra for our 5 Star cottages.
