COVID-19 and Upper Rectory Farm Cottages
We take the safety of our guests very seriously particularly in these difficult times. Upper Rectory Farm Cottages have achieved the Visit England "We're Good to Go" Mark which means we are following Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and have all the correct cleaning protocols and preparations in place for making your stay as safe as we can.
If you feel ill before your stay you MUST cancel your booking.
We have carried out our Covid training, reviewed our risk assessments and our staff have been trained in Covid cleaning and infection control so that we are able to assure our guests that we can welcome them safely to our cottages.
We must ask that guests adhere strictly to our arrival and departure times in order to give us plenty of time to complete our cleaning routine.
The cottages are deep cleaned using virucidal disinfectants that are certified to kill Corona Virus 19. We have provided hand sanitisers and additional cleaning material for your own use during your stay.
We will still meet you on arrival as always and show you to your cottage but we will be maintaining social distancing and may be wearing a mask. Your keys have been disinfected and are on the table.
We supply all towels and bedding but you are welcome to bring your own if you wish. Our on-site laundry room for guests is still open (please bring your own washing powder) but there are a few simple rules – only one person at a time in the room, people outside stay 2 metres apart, wipe down the machines and surfaces with the virucidal provided after use.
All our books, magazines, tourist brochures and guests folders have been taken out of the cottages so we apologise if they look a little barer than usual! Tourist information is printed out on disposable sheets with the individual links for you to Google the many and varied places and attractions available – most of which describe their own safety measures too.
On departure day we ask you to help with our safety measures by emptying all bins and by stripping your own beds and placing all linen and towels in the black bags provided. Also please leave all windows open.
The wide open spaces surrounding Upper Rectory provide lots of fresh air and walks – and as safe an environment as you need after the worrying months of spring!
STAY ALERT. STAY SAFE!
Quality assured
VisitEngland’s unique Gold award recognises exceptional quality within a star rating or for outperforming a star rating. And our cottages are reviewed every year to ensure we’re maintaining our standards. All of our cottages have achieved at least 4 Stars with a Gold Award. Plus, because we allocate cottages based on your group, we don’t charge extra for our 5 Star cottages.
