A good time was had by all! The accommodation worked really well. The Refectory and large kitchen was a definite bonus and made our family celebration very special. We will not hesitate to book again in the future.

Jean is a friendly, thoughtful and responsive host. The cottage was beautifully kept and equipped with all that we needed during our 5 night stay. The cottage, The Carthovel, was just what we needed for our base to visit our family and friends in Leicestershire and Warwickshire. We felt relaxed as soon as we drove through the gates through the wheat fields to our cottage which was tastefully decorated and equipped with everything we required for our stay. Jean and David, the owners of the farm, live nearby and were always available to answer our requests. Loved our stay and would definitely recommend it. – Jackie, August 2023

Everyone had a great time in the Granary and Hayloft combo which suited us perfectly – beautifully appointed and so well equipped – and everything was fine. My daughter would also like to send her appreciation for your efforts to find a roasting pan for her goose meal (!). With many thanks for your hospitality and kind attention to detail . We all agreed Upper Rectory Farm Cottages is a fantastic place for large house parties. We enjoyed a few lovely walks through the maize fields! Twenty one of us, six families, 9 children 4 – 20 years in The Hayloft, Granary, Barn and Refectory. The layout is ideal, all gathering in the Hayloft sitting room then dispersing to our separate cottages for peace and quiet. – Joanna, April 2022

"Last weekend stay at your farm accommodation for my wife's 60th birthday was magical. The complex we booked was better than we had expected allowing our friends comfortable self-contained areas but allowing freedom to use all rooms downstairs and facilities. The Refectory was the icing on the cake to allow all 17 of us to have breakfast, lunch and to have a party on Saturday to celebrate Julie’s 60th and retirement. With the weather so nice we used the outside seating and grassy area to its fullest. The bonus was all the wildlife , especially the swallows which fascinated all of us watching them fly in and out of their nest nr the Refectory. Julie and me will remember this weekend for years to come .Thank you.”

“We had a really fabulous time during our stay with you. We had things to do to fill our days, but we were always happy to arrive “home” to Upper Rectory. Our house was so comfortable and really attractive, my idea of a country home. We hardly saw the neighbours, and even when they were around we didn’t feel they were on top of us. We have been singing your praises to everyone. I can honestly say I have never felt so relaxed after a week away, whether in the UK or abroad. Thank you so much. Hope to see you next year.”
